This delicate mantel clock with a height of only 12 in. has an elaborately engine turned ormolu casing. On a base with bun feet are four columns with an entablature. The case drum with enamel dial and an engine turned pendulum bob seems to float between the columns. The fine matt and gloss gilding emphasizes the clock’s features. The movement with anchor escapement has a Viennese grande sonnerie on wire gongs.
