This Viennese cartel clock was created during the reign of emperor Joseph II and is masterly carved with bacchanalian motifs such as wine leaves and grapes. The dial and the window for the pendulum bob are framed by wreaths. The movement is equipped with a Viennese grande sonnerie on bells with repeater and an indication of date.
